This summer, I’m working on an education initiative by this company in India. They’re setting up schools in rural India.
Looking at how curriculums are formed and decisions are made, I am faced, on a daily basis, by assumptions, stereotypes, and “existing systems that work.”
Trying to make sense of all of this, and trying to coherently run a school (even a classroom),...
I have a terrible memory when it comes to specific events (and faces), but it’s funny how we make connections in our memory without realizing it.
For example, I cannot listen to Jose Gonzalez any more without immediately thinking of waking up some mornings at 6 a.m. to begin Political Theory essays, which I would write to his music, always.
